Kristin Read was appointed Assistant Town Manager in July 2018, after more than 10 years working for the Town in various roles. She joined the Town team and became a Castle Rock resident in September 2007.

As Assistant Town Manager, Kristin oversees the Communications Division and the Division of Innovation and Technology, as well as the Municipal Court staff. She also leads various programs and projects, including Your Town Academy, and the Town's community survey efforts.
 
Kristin holds a master of public administration from the University of Colorado and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska.

Prior to making a career change to municipal government, Kristin worked as a journalist in Omaha, Nebraska.
