David L. Corliss started as Castle Rock’s Town Manager on June 1, 2015. The Town Manager is responsible for carrying out the policies and ordinances the Town Council approves; appointing and supervising the heads of the Town’s departments; and overseeing the Town’s operations.

David previously was the manager for the City of Lawrence, Kansas, where he worked for 24 years in various legal and management positions. Prior to that, he worked as a research attorney for the Kansas League of Municipalities.

David earned law and master of public administration degrees from the University of Kansas and also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science. 

In his home state, David served as a member of the Kansas Water Authority and of the Board of Trustees of Lawrence Memorial Hospital, among other professional and community services.
