Welcome to the Town of Castle Rock’s 2022 epic trail event. The Trails Festival is back for its seventh year! Come to challenge yourself on the vast ridgeline trail system and enjoy Castle Rock’s local trails.
Trail run options range from the liveBIG Family Adventure Run to the Ultra Marathon 50K. If you’ve run this trail system before, you know these are some beautiful and beguiling trails.

Join Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado for our fourth year building the Legacy Trail and spend the day among conifer forest, ferns, mosses, and interesting rock formations! This project is open to 100 volunteers, you'll break ground on the final section of this new hiking trail, connecting VOC's previous work to the existing Chuck's Loop Trail on the eastern edge of the property. Work will be moderate to difficult in nature and likely include bench cuts, timber or stone steps, and several small crossings of narrow drainages.

From the changing leaves, to the soft, fall breeze there is something special about this season at Festival Park. Experience a new Fall Festival full of activities, seasonal vendors and all things autumn.
Douglas Land Conservancy will also join the fun with Creepy Crawlies Around the Rock. This educational, Halloween-themed animal booth will include some of Castle Rock’s creepiest creatures such as snakes, spiders, toads, owls and roaches. Presenters from Nature's Educators will be on hand to answer questions.
