The Council meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
Town Council is scheduled to discuss several items, including new artwork proposed for Philip S. Miller Park. The artwork is part of the Public Art Commission’s goal to acquire art for public buildings and parks within Castle Rock. This program is funded through the Philip S. Miller Trust Fund and not through taxpayer dollars. Additionally, Council will be receiving an update on the Town’s current sign code as it relates to administration and ease of use for the business community.
Here is a preview of another item on Tuesday’s agenda:
- Discussion/direction regarding the Town’s 2019 Community Survey – staying in touch with residents is a key priority for the Town. A community survey is part of the Town’s 2019 Major Projects Work Program. The Town has retained Northwest Research Group to conduct the survey. Town Council will hear a presentation from the firm and discuss the draft survey.
The goal of the survey is to help the Town better understand how the community views its Town government. Once the survey is finalized, it will be scientifically administered online and by phone from mid-February to mid-March. Results are anticipated in April and will be used for ongoing strategic planning and budgeting purposes.
The Community Survey is conducted every two years. Learn more about the 2017 results at CRgov.com/2017survey.
