Watch your mail for ballots this week

Castle Rock voters will be asked to vote in a special election May 15, 2018. Ballots are expected to be in the mail this week. 

This election is a necessary follow-up to the November 2017 Special Election in which voters approved an at-large Mayor office.

While the election changed language in the Charter regarding how voters will elect a Mayor in Castle Rock, the citizen-initiated petition that provided for that change did not identify elements such as qualifications for Mayor (age, residency, voter status, etc.) and a timeline for the transition.

Two questions will be on the mail ballot. Read them online

Watch for ballots in your mail this week. Then mail them back or drop them off at one of two locations:

Drop off locations

Parking lot of Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St. (Look for the drop box on the east side of the parking lot, near the water bill box.)

Parking lot of Douglas County Elections, 125 Stephanie Place. 

Completed ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15.
