Presented by Douglas Land Conservancy and the Town of Castle Rock, join Nature’s Educators as we dive into the characteristics that define raptors. Discover the various types of raptors that live all over the world.
Find out what they eat, how they hunt, and where they live. 

5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. 

This event is free! Registration is encouraged but not required. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows. 


Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks Free Concert
Hip Pocket

On Thursday, Aug. 31, Hip Pocket will take the stage! Join us from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. Considered Denver's best variety, this seven piece band will dazzle you with fantastic harmonies from dance, pop, funk and rock n' roll classics.  

Enjoy craft beers, cocktails and delectable delights! Plus, yard games and
bounce houses will be set up for kids. 

Donations from the event benefit local nonprofit, the
Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation.

Matt Maher

Since his 2008 major label debut, Matt Maher has become a staple in the artistic and songwriting community. He has written and produced seven solo albums to date, and has received five Grammy nominations. Three of his albums reached the Top 25 Christian Albums Billboard chart and four of his singles reached the Top 25 Christian Songs chart. Matt Maher was awarded the Songwriter of the Year in 2015 at the GMA Dove Awards. 

Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park.

Pooch Plunge

The Parks and Recreation Department proudly presents the annual Pooch Plunge! The dog days of summer are nearing an end, and what better way to celebrate than with one last splash at Butterfield Crossing Pool with your favorite canine? Play games, win prizes or just take a dip with your furry friends. 

Have a splashing good time from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 9 at Butterfield Crossing Pool. 

Admission is free, but donations are accepted to benefit the Dumb Friends League Buddy Center.

Trail Festival

Come run Castle Rock’s newest trail race at the beautiful Philip S. Miller Park combining the liveBIG Run and Ridgeline Trail Races on Saturday, Oct. 7! This year's event has everything to offer from ultra-distances to the liveBIG Family Adventure Run: 50k ultramarathon, marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and the Family Adventure Race. 

The race will begin at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park and wind through the single and double-track trails at Philip S. Miller Park and Ridgeline Open Space.
