Keeping our watershed free of hazardous materials is essential for our ecosystem and water quality. Chemicals should never be poured down a stormdrain or toilet. Here are a several other options:
- Latex paint can be dried and thrown away. PaintCare.org locations (like Sherwin Williams) will take leftover oil-based paint and products.
- Take old or unused prescriptions to a drop off kiosk in the Castle Rock Police Department lobby.
- For car batteries and fluids, pesticides and herbicides, and other hazardous items, check the Tri-County’s door-to-door service by calling (303) 612-6262.
