Rec Center leisure pool to close for maintenance beginning Oct. 22

Castle Rock Recreation Center leisure pool area showing wall blocking slide tower

Recently, Town of Castle Rock Aquatics Division staff identified a maintenance issue that will require the leisure pool at the Castle Rock Recreation Center to be drained so that valves can be replaced.

The needed closure of the leisure pool area, including the hot tub and steam room, will begin Sunday, Oct. 22, and last approximately six to eight weeks. The lap pool will remain open during the closure.

Crews performing the slide tower repairs at the Rec Center will now use this closure to complete planned ceiling rehabilitation work in the pool area. Thanks to combining these closures, the Slide Tower Repair Project is not expected to require any extended closures next year, as was originally planned. Learn more about this project at CRgov.com/SlideTowerRepair.

The leisure pool area is expected to reopen by mid-December. During the closure, Recreation Center memberships and multi-visit passes will be valid at the Miller Activity Complex. Please be sure to check the pool availability calendar online before heading out the door.
