[ARCHIVED] Independence Day will be rockin’ at Philip S. Miller Park

Castle Rockin' the Fourth red, white and blue words in the shape of a waving flag.

Enjoy a full day of fun and music with family, friends and neighbors at the Castle Rockin’ the Fourth celebration from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4 at Philip S. Miller Park.

To celebrate our nation's birthday, the event will kick off with a free, untimed Independence Day 5K at 9 a.m. Then, cool off on the Millhouse lawn and get covered in bubbles at a foam party.

Grab your sunscreen and picnic blankets and stay all day and into the evening for magic shows, patriotic movies, live music, kids' activities and much more. Visit a food truck for lunch or dinner, or bring a picnic — cocktails and beer will be available for purchase.

At 8 p.m., get ready to rock with a free concert by the much-loved Neil Diamond tribute band, Super Diamond. As darkness falls, you will be treated to the grand finale of the Independence Day party — a spectacular drone show.

If you can't make it to Philip S. Miller Park, find a great spot to view Santa Fe Quarry Butte, located in the Red Hawk area, to enjoy a drone show.

Visit CRgov.com/July4 for more information including a schedule, a list of food trucks and vendors, parking information and more, as the event gets closer.
