Continuing to provide excellent public safety, road, water, Parks and Recreation and economic development services, while maintaining the community’s character and being financially conservative are the Town’s goals.
Achieving this work requires financial resources, which are being continually strained by the increasing costs of employing people and obtaining goods and services in today’s economy.
So, where does this leave the Town as it’s putting together its proposed budgets for 2023 and beyond? Find out – and ask your questions – during a live telephone town hall from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 13.
There are numerous ways to engage. The simplest way is to sign up to receive a call to join the meeting by registering online at CRgov.com/CallMe.
Those who don’t wish to be called can instead call into the meeting at 833-479-1989. Live participation will also be available at Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St., and via the Town’s Facebook page @CRgov.
The advantage of registering online is it will place the phone number registered on the Town’s to-call list for such events, should others be scheduled in the future. This event marks the first telephone town hall held by the Town.
Those joining the call will hear from the Mayor, Town Manager, Finance Director and Fire and Police Chiefs on financial issues and will have a chance to respond to poll questions and ask questions of their own. The Town will share information, including how the “excess” TABOR revenues that voters last year allowed the Town to retain are planned to be put to use toward police, fire/EMS and roads.
Please sign up today, and mark your calendar to join in this important conversation.
