[ARCHIVED] Get ready to “Shake Rattle & Roll” with Shelvis and the Roustabouts at First Fridays Sept. 3

First Fridays at Festival Park

Break out those “Blue Suede Shoes” and get ready to celebrate the weekend. Don’t miss the final concert in this year’s First Fridays event series. Shelvis and the Roustabouts takes the stage at Festival Park Friday, Sept. 3.

Voted Denver’s Best Band (2019) by the readers of 5280 Magazine, Shelvis and the Roustabouts are an energetic Rockabilly/Americana band. Lori “Shelvis” Muha is an entertainment powerhouse. She captures the audience with her amazing vocals and high-energy performances. Focusing on the music of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash and other Rockabilly pioneers, Muha and her band of Roustabouts transport the audience to a time when rock was born.

Enjoy live music, food trucks, cocktails, kids’ activities and more. House music begins at 5 p.m. The featured artist starts around 5:45 p.m., and the festivities continue until 9 p.m.

Start the night off right with the First Fridays 5K. These free, theme-based run/walks are fun for the entire family. The unofficially timed races start at 5:30 p.m. right in Festival Park. Prizes will be awarded to the best themed costumes. September’s theme is “You Ain’t Nothin’ but a Hound Dog” 5K. Registration is available online.
