[ARCHIVED] Share your thoughts on Town funding priorities at budget open house

It’s a challenge to balance a community’s needs with its available funding, especially in a thriving Town. 

The Town Manager each year recommends to Town Council a balanced budget that aims to reflect the community’s priorities. Based upon feedback, including that provided in the 2021 community survey, the proposed Town budget priorities for 2022 are:

  • Ensure outstanding public safety
  • Enhance our roads
  • Secure our water future
  • Maintain strong Parks and Recreation
  • Support economic development
  • Manage Town finances conservatively
  • Preserve our community character

To learn more about these priorities and the initiatives planned over the next five years to support them, attend a budget open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Millhouse at Philip S. Miller Park, 1381 W. Plum Creek Parkway.

Four questions on this fall’s ballot will impact the Town’s ability to fund its planned initiatives over the next five years. Learn more about those at CRgov.com/2021Election.

The Preliminary 2022 Budget and Draft 2022-2026 Balanced Financial Plan are expected to be presented to Town Council in September and adopted in December, once results are known for the election.
