2020 Season of the Star

Memories, magic and merriment are a big part of the holidays. Make the season truly shine and join the Town to celebrate the Season of the Star.

The holidays in Castle Rock start with Starlighting and continue through the new year. The Season of the Star event series helps celebrate the warmth of our community. Start a new tradition, take in the holiday lights Downtown and enjoy everything the season has to offer in Castle Rock. More information is available at 

Admission to Season of the Star events is free. However, registration is required for some. Make holiday memories Downtown, and be sure to support Castle Rock businesses and shop locally this season. 

2020 Season of the Star events:

Festival Park Starlight Market
Friday, Dec. 4, 3 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Kick off your holiday shopping with Castle Rock’s premier craft and food market. Shop from more than 30 vendors including unique crafts, specialty items, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and more. Get the perfect gift while enjoying the Town’s 30-foot tree, hot cocoa and holiday music.

Holiday Drive-In Movies
Saturday, Dec. 5 – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Saturday, Dec. 12 – Elf

Registration opens Monday, Nov. 16, at

Spend a much needed fun night out and enjoy the nostalgia of a drive-in movie. Watch the hilarious Griswold family’s antics in the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Saturday, Dec. 5. Or, get to know the beloved Buddy the Elf on a 30-foot screen in Elf Saturday, Dec. 12. Enjoy food trucks and fun activities. Registration is required. 

Holiday Light Show
Dec. 3 through 19, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Drive through or take a walk through Philip S. Miller Park and enjoy holiday decorations set out to highlight the beauty of the park. Enjoy the seasonal lights, and don’t miss the opportunity for family photos and a celebration of socially distanced community spirit and good cheer. Food trucks will be serving dinner and hot chocolate to complete these fun-filled nights.
