[ARCHIVED] Born to run? Don’t miss the Castle Rocker 5K Sept. 4

Castle Rocker 5K Sept. 4

Calling all professional shower singers and air-guitar masters. East Plum Creek Trail will turn into the ultimate stage. Show off your skills at the Town’s 5K After 5 series. The Castle Rocker 5K is set for Friday, Sept. 4.

Last minute check in begins at 5 p.m., and the race / walk starts at 5:30 p.m. Head to CRgov.com/Races for registration. Dress up as your favorite rock star, or pay tribute to your favorite band by wearing a concert T-shirt. The best dressed rockers will win prizes at the end of the race.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several social distancing measures will be in place. Staff will be abiding by all current State health orders. Race registration will be limited and start times will be staggered. Additionally, participants are encouraged to wear a face covering during the registration process. Runners may remove face coverings once the race begins.

Preregistration is $20 for adults and $15 for youth. Children under 12 years old are free, but must be registered. This is the third and final non-virtual race of the series.

Following the race / walk, participants are encouraged to enjoy live music, food trucks and cocktails at First Fridays in Festival Park. Race participants will receive a token for a free beer or soft drink at the concert. More information, including updates on COVID-related precautions, is available at CRgov.com/FirstFridays, or follow the event posts on the Town’s Facebook page (CRgov).
