‘The best is yet to come’ at Denver Pops summer concert Aug. 21; tickets go on sale July 31

Denver Pops Salute to Ol’ Blue Eyes

There’s no need to “fly me to the moon” this summer. Come to Castle Rock to experience everything Frank Sinatra has to offer. The Denver Pops Salute to Ol’ Blue Eyes heads to the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park Friday, Aug. 21. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31.

Part of a limited 2020 Summer Concert Series, the Denver Pops will join forces with Colorado native Derek Evilsizor to show us all how “love is here to stay.” Plus, look for classics like “New York, New York” to be part of the evening’s set list.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a few changes this year to accommodate heath guidelines and social distancing requirements. Tickets are limited, and attendees are asked to wear face coverings during the check in process and while walking around the event. Act “like someone in love” and head to CRgov.com/PSMConcerts for tickets. Prices range from $20 to $25 for box, orchestra or general lawn seating.

Gates open at 6 p.m. The opener, The Denver Dolls, will start at 6:30 p.m. The vintage music group specializes in music from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The Denver Pops will take the stage around 8 p.m. Enjoy food trucks, a full cocktail bar and music that is sure to leave you with “high hopes.” Bring a low-profile chair or blanket and get ready to find out if “luck be a lady” tonight.

The Summer Concert Series is part of the Town’s goal to keep our community character alive with community festivals, concerts and activities. Nestled in the beautiful setting of Philip S. Miller Park, the Amphitheater has become one of Colorado’s most-sought-after live music venues. The intimate setting, family friendly environment and amazing acoustics make for a great musical experience.
