[ARCHIVED] Castle Rock Fire and Rescue earns grant to purchase Hands-Only CPR manikins

Castle Rock Fire and Rescue receives grant for CPR Manikins

Studies continue to show that even a few minutes of hands-on training can make all the difference in a crisis. Recently, Castle Rock Fire and Rescue was awarded a $1,500 grant from the Walmart Foundation, enabling the purchase of Hands-Only Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) manikins to aid in training for the community.

In a show of appreciation of the Walmart Foundation grant, local Walmart employees were the first community members to learn valuable life-saving techniques at a Hands-Only CPR training. Members of the Castle Rock Fire and Rescue team conducted the training class, which provided Walmart employees with valuable hands-on experience with the easy-to-learn, two-step process.

Castle Rock Fire and Rescue remains committed to keeping our community safe in many ways, such as applying for and receiving the various grants that provide learning tools for the health and safety of the community.
