Rain brought by summer storms this week has reduced the risk of fires in our area. As a result, fire restrictions have been lifted.
Acting on authority granted by Town Council, Acting Town Manager Fritz Sprague and Acting Fire Chief Eric Morgenthaler Thursday rescinded the Stage 1 fire restrictions that had been in place since June 5.
Activities that are once again allowed include:
- Building, maintaining, attending or using an open fire, campfire or stove fire in approved areas
- Smoking in all regularly permissible areas
- Welding or operating torches with an open flame in outdoor areas
Fire restrictions are implemented to maintain public health and safety. CRFD will continue to monitor fire conditions and will reinstate restrictions if necessary.
