Neighborhood Meeting – City Hotel Proposed Downtown Site Development Plan - Hybrid Meeting

Tuesday, January 24, 2023

Neighborhood Meeting Sign ID #33

Hybrid Meeting - 6 PM, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023

You are invited to attend the first neighborhood meeting to discuss a proposed Downtown Site Development Plan. This is a hybrid meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for the applicant to share information about the proposal, take feedback, and answer any questions you might have.

Virtual: Directions on how to log in and use the telephone and web formats are listed at the end of this post.

Project Description

White Development is seeking to redevelop the property located at 415 Perry Street in historic downtown Castle Rock. The project site is home to the historically registered and landmarked City Hotel building, one of the oldest buildings in Castle Rock (built in 1872 and moved to its current location in approximately 1894).

The proposed project pairs the complete restoration of the historic structure with a new 22,000 square foot boutique hotel. The historic structure will contain the main food & beverage venue for the project as well as the main lobby for the new hotel, with 3,700 square feet of luxuriously appointed space to welcome hotel guests and visitors to Castle Rock. The new building is carefully designed to invite pedestrians into the spacious 3,800 square foot court yard, while maintaining visually appealing streetscapes and preserving view corridors. Adjacent to the court yard are two demisable commercial units, which will be outfitted with food service infrastructure to allow for flexible use. The new hotel structure will contain approximately 24 spacious guest rooms, each with exceptional views and creative room design—from small office suites perfect for the visiting businessperson to family bunk suites capable of comfortably accommodating a small family. The new hotel structure will also house an intimate rooftop bar with unrivaled views of The Rock and historic downtown Castle Rock.

This application will require a public hearing before the Design Review Board. These meetings have not been scheduled at this time.
