In-Person and Virtual Neighborhood Meeting:  Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 6:00 p.m.


 

Dear Neighbor,


You are cordially invited to attend our hybrid neighborhood meeting regarding a proposed Annexation and Planned Development zoning project in your area known as “Canyons Far South”. This is the third neighborhood meeting for this proposed project and will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 6:00 p.m. MST. Previous neighborhood meetings occurred on June 14, 2021, and Dec. 13, 2021. The purpose of this neighborhood meeting is to share an update on the proposed project, answer any questions you may have and to listen to your feedback. You may participate in this meeting in-person or virtually.


Annexation and Zoning Proposal


Canyons Far South is a 409-acre property located south of Crowfoot Valley Road, east of Founders Parkway, north of Crimson Sky Drive and west of Castle Oaks Drive.


The project proposes to annex 409 acres of property into the Town of Castle Rock and zone the property as a Planned Development Plan to permit 474 single-family residential units, 60,000 square-feet of neighborhood commercial and provide an estimated 200+ acres of parks and open space.


Changes to the Proposal


Changes to the proposal since the previous neighborhood meeting include: 

  • Refinement to the PD Plan (see attached)
  • Adjustment to the landscape buffer and conceptual lot and road layout at the southern boundary in response to resident feedback 
  • Additional detail will be shared on the conceptual neighborhood retail plan
