Virtual Neighborhood Meeting: Nov. 23, 2021, 5 p.m.
You are cordially invited to a neighborhood meeting regarding a proposed project in your area for a proposed duplex home (2 single family homes attached within one structure) on the vacant lot at 6 S. Cantril Street, which is within the Craig and Gould’s neighborhood. This is the last neighborhood meeting for the proposed project and will take place virtually via a Zoom webinar on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at 5 pm. The project site is 0.161 acres (7,013 square feet) in size and is located south of the South and S. Cantril St. intersection. The property is north of the Douglas County Fairgrounds and Town trail.
The purpose of this neighborhood meeting is to share the proposed project, gather and understand feedback, and answer any questions you may have prior to the Historic Preservation Board hearing. Within this notice, you will find a vicinity map and building elevations for the proposal.
Eric Helwig, owner/developer, would like to build a duplex structure and detached garage. Each duplex unit would total approximately 2,000 square feet, for a total building square footage of approximately 4,000 square feet. The detached garage structure would total approximately 500 square feet. The duplex would be two stories above grade. Vehicle access to the site would be through the rear alley to the detached garage. Landscaping would be primarily xeriscape or similar, with limited or no sod.
