The William Warren Group (StorQuest) is holding a virtual neighborhood meeting to discuss a proposed annexation in your area and you are cordially invited to attend. The purpose of this first meeting is to share information about the proposed annexation and zoning, answer your questions and listen to your feedback. This is the first of three neighborhood meetings that will be held for this proposal, before it goes to public hearing. Please see the instructions later in this notice for ways to participate in the neighborhood meeting.

Project Summary
The property proposed to be annexed consists of four parcels totaling approximately 5.34 acres located on the western side of Liggett Road, south of the intersection with State Highway 85, and addressed as 2583, 2629, 2631, and 2633 Liggett Road. The property borders and is proximate to incorporated areas zoned in the General Industrial (I-2) and Planned Development (PD) districts. Nearby properties in unincorporated Douglas County are zoned in the General Industrial (GI) and Agricultural One (A1) districts.

The property is currently zoned in the GI and A1 districts in Douglas County. The applicant proposes to annex the parcels and zone them into the General Industrial (I-2) district. The applicant is not proposing any material changes to the permitted uses on the property, and annexation will allow for enforcement of Municipal Code provisions relative to the property.

Annexation and zoning also requires public hearings before the Planning Commission and Town Council. You will receive written notification of hearing dates and times, and public comment will be taken at those hearings.

A project presentation will be made by the Developer, followed by an opportunity for questions and answers from the audience. In order to keep the meeting running smoothly, the following ground rules will be observed:

  • All participants will automatically have their video/audio turned off upon entry to the meeting
  • Panelists, including Developer and Town staff, will have video/audio available in order to make the presentation and answer questions
  • Questions will be held until the end of the initial presentation by the Developer
  • To ask a question or make a comment, please use the “Raise hand” function in Zoom. This is done by clicking on the “Participants” icon at the bottom of your screen, then clicking on the “Raise Hand” button. Once the presentation concludes, the speaker will work down the list of raised hands in order and activate the user’s audio one at a time to allow them to speak
  • After questions and comments have been received from the participants in the Zoom Webinar, the meeting will be opened up for additional questions and comments from users that only called into the meeting
  • Please be aware that there may be many attendees wanting to speak, so try to keep your comments focused and concise so that as many people as possible can participate in the limited meeting time period
  • Please be aware that the meeting will be recorded to ensure an accurate record of comments and questions about the project
