Virtual Neighborhood Meeting:  Nov. 16, 2020, 5 - 6:30 p.m.
Dear Neighbor,
We hope you are able to attend a video conference meeting to discuss a Site Development Plan for a proposed mixed-use building at 205 Sixth St. / 610 Jerry St., on the northeast corner of Sixth and Jerry Streets in downtown Castle Rock. The existing storage units would be demolished and a new, six-storied building would include residential units, retail and office space, and parking. We are looking for your input as we are in the review process with Town staff. Please see the instructions below on how to join the meeting and to participate in the discussion. If you are unable to attend this third neighborhood meeting, but would like to submit written comments, please send them to Connor Treanor, architect and applicant’s representative, or Julie Kirkpatrick, Town of Castle Rock, at the addresses listed below by Nov. 10 to allow time for potential responses at the neighborhood meeting.

A public hearing is required before the Town’s Design Review Board, which has not yet been scheduled. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the applicant an opportunity to present the proposed project, gather feedback, and address any questions you may have. The applicant and a Town planner will attend this meeting to answer questions about this proposal and about the Municipal Code requirements and public hearing process for this Site Development Plan.

Project Information:
Castle Rock Development, LLC, owner and developer of the property, is proposing a new, mixed-use building. The existing storage units would be demolished. The proposal includes approximately 218 residential units over four levels, sitting on top of a two-level concrete podium with retail space, offices, residential amenities, and approximately 430 parking spaces. A portion of the garage parking is planned for public use. The proposed building would be six stories tall. Please see the attachments for more details.

Due to recommended COVID precautions and social distancing requirements, this will be a virtual meeting, held remotely. If you are unable to attend this meeting, yet have questions or comments about this project, please contact Connor Treanor or Banks Floodman (the applicant/owner representatives) at the contact information below, by Nov. 10.

A project presentation will be made by the developer, followed by an opportunity for questions and answers from the audience. In order to keep the meeting running smoothly, the following ground rules will be observed.

  • All participants should have their video/audio turned off upon entry to the meeting
  • Panelists, including developer and Town staff, will have video/audio available in order to make the presentation and answer questions
  • Questions will be held until the end of the initial presentation by the developer
  • Please be aware that there may be many attendees wanting to speak, so try to keep your comments focused and concise so that as many people as possible can participate during the limited meeting time period
  • Please be aware that the meeting may be recorded to ensure an accurate record of comments and questions about the project
