Well-planned trails, abundant open space and beautiful parks have become a hallmark of the Castle Rock community. The Parks and Recreation Department prioritizes keeping the outdoors accessible to residents, while also preserving Castle Rock's rich heritage of outdoor recreation and trail use.
The Town boasts 54 developed parks, including 24 that are managed by the Parks and Recreation Department. These parks encompass the Town's defining ridgelines and trails, and include features of staggering beauty, historical significance, small-town charm and community character. Additionally, the Town has hundreds of miles of paved and soft-surface trails.
