East Plum Creek Reach 6 Stabilization

Project scope

Castle Rock Water's Stormwater Division is constructing channel and floodplain improvements for East Plum Creek Reach 6, located downstream of the North Meadows Parkway bridge. The proposed channel improvements consist of constructing a series of buried void-filled riprap riffle and buried cascading boulder drop structures, installing buried sheet pile cutoff walls, and installing bank stabilization measures at vulnerable locations, especially near vertical walls adjacent to the channel. This project will also install a new streamgage.

Access and disruptions

No water service disruptions are anticipated. Construction traffic will be accessing the site from the south side of North Meadows Drive. No lane closures are anticipated. The East Plum Creek trail will have a detour.
