This family friendly event starts as the sun sets and celebrates the full moon.
Experience the annual evening ride on the East Plum Creek Trail to Festival Park. At the park, kids will enjoy viewing the moon through telescopes set up by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA).
There will be a bike decorating station at Hangman's Gulch with glow-in-the-dark items. Plus, hot dogs will be served by the Boy Scouts at Festival Park. Keep in mind, all riders must wear a helmet and have a front headlamp and blinking rear light.

Depart from Castle View High School at 7 p.m.; Douglas County High School to follow
Riders will make their way to and from Festival Park via the East Plum Creek Trail. The route is 6 miles each way and 12 miles round trip. Thinking of doing a one-way route? Plan ahead and arrange to be picked up at the park.
Registration is $14 (under 12), $16 (65+) and $18 (general) and includes a T-shirt, hot dogs, chips and a drink.
