Season of the Star
The holidays are a special time of year in Castle Rock, and it all begins with Starlighting and runs through the end of January. The “Season of the Star” is a celebration of lights and the beauty of our Town during the winter. Keep your family in the holiday spirit with the family-friendly activities held throughout town.
Saturday, Nov. 17, 2-7 p.m.
Downtown Castle Rock
Start the season off right with Starlighting on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 2-7 p.m.. Starlighting activities include hot chocolate, nonprofit booths, live entertainment, and Santa. The Starlighting ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 and the star will be lit at approximately 5:30 (it may be earlier). A beautiful fireworks display from the Rock will cap off the event.
Storytellers and S’mores
Saturday, Dec. 8, 5-7 p.m.
Santa and some of his friends are stopping by Festival Park to read holiday favorites from our giant Storytellers Chair. Enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, hot chocolate and other family friendly fun at this free community event. This year hop on the Castle Rock Trolley for a short ride to enjoy the beautiful lights of Downtown.
Friday, Dec. 14, 3-6 p.m.
The Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park
Enjoy free carriage rides from 5 to 7 p.m. every Friday and Saturday evening from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23. Board the carriage at Festival Park. Rides are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
