Overview

Assistant Town Manager Kristin Read serves as the Town's Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, this role provides information and services to Town government and the general public to provide accommodations for persons with disabilities.

Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator Responsibilities

The Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Town of Castle Rock complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as well as other federal and state laws relating to disability. The Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator provides disability-related information, services and resources for employees and the public. The Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator is responsible for providing reasonable accommodations for employees and the public and promoting equal access and opportunity for persons with disabilities.

The Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator is the central point of contact to receive complaints and requests for reasonable accommodations and to receive all documentation required to determine disability status for employees at the Town. The Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator also addresses the structural accessibility needs of employees and the public.
