Overview

Make a difference in your community and have your voice heard! The Town's Teen Advisory Group (TAG) helps local teens play an active role in planning and carrying out Parks and Recreation activities for the community's youth.

Purpose and function

TAG is a group of teens in 7th through 12th grades that assist with the general planning, preparation and organization of events and activities in Castle Rock. Youth in this group act as the voice for teens in the community by expressing their opinions and ideas. The group also acts as a liaison with Town Council to make sure teen voices are heard in Town decisions. Students help with Town events like Spooktacular, the Summer and Winter Balls, Climb4Change and more.

Meetings and qualifications

TAG meets monthly at the Castle Rock Recreation Center and holds a monthly Town service project. The first meeting is generally in early October, and the first service project is Spooktacular. However, times, dates and locations are subject to change. Parents and students will be notified of such changes.

TAG applicants must be in the 7th to 12th grade and be Town of Castle Rock residents.

Application process

Applications are accepted at the beginning of the school year. The application period for the 2023-2024 school year is now closed.
