The Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department Honor Guard was established in 2005. The Honor Guard is comprised of a select group of firefighters committed to representing the best that the department has to offer.
"The mission of the Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department Honor Guard is to develop and maintain members who utilize their desire, experience and discipline to honor and guard the sacrifices, dedication, and memories of our fallen members, and at every event, where we are called upon to serve."
The Honor Guard has been called upon to serve and assist in funerals for active and retired members of the Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department. The team participates in state and local memorial services, department graduations and promotional ceremonies, the annual Douglas county fair and parade, opening ceremonies for the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche and served at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
