Benefits of Volunteering
Make a difference in Castle Rock parks and open spacePOST Partners logo
Some park patrons notice litter left behind by neglectful users and are frustrated by the poor treatment of our environment. Others see a natural feature they would like to make better by performing maintenance to a trail, revegetating areas that have been disturbed or by planting trees, shrubs or flowers to beautify an area. Now, members of the community can put those feelings into action.

The Town manages 265 acres of parkland, 51 miles of trails and 2,645 acres of open space. It’s often challenging for Parks and Recreation staff to keep up with the tremendous use of those areas. Volunteers’ efforts can make the difference in achieving the standards we all have for these public spaces.

When you join POST Partners, your organization or business will receive recognition through outlets such as this website, Partner Tracks newsletter and signage at the adopted area, as well as at an annual volunteer recognition event. Everyone who passes by your adopted area will know you care for your community and are doing something about it. If interested in participating, complete the group volunteer application and contact the POST Partners program coordinator

Not sure what opportunities are available?  Check out the volunteer interest form and let us know what you would like to know more about!  We'll send you information on the programs that interest you most.

Opportunities also are available for individuals such as high school students and scouts who would like to volunteer a few hours to earn their required community service hours or merit badge. See available volunteer / adoption locations or upcoming events. If interested in participating, complete the individual volunteer application or Eagle and Life Scout application and contact the POST Partners program coordinator.
