Terms and requirements
- Terms are two years beginning on June 1. three-term limited, unless otherwise noted.
- Preference given to Town of Castle Rock residents, followed by those who reside outside Town but within Douglas County
- Appointees serve at the discretion of Town Council

Board of Adjustment
Meets the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Board of Building Appeals
Must be a registered voter in Douglas County. Preferred experience/training on matters pertaining to building construction. Meets the first Mondays in March, June, September and December at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Castle Rock Water Commission
One member may be a nonresident ratepayer (home, property or business owner). Meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Castle Rock Water facilities, 175 Kellogg Court.
Design Review Board
Vacancy is for a Downtown property owner within the DDA boundary. Meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Election Commission (three-year terms)
Must be a registered voter in Douglas County. Meets as needed.
Historic Presentation Board (four-term limited)
Preference is given to professionals or those with extensive expertise in preservation-related disciplines (three members) and residents or property owners from the Craig & Gould neighborhood (three members), if possible. Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Parks and Recreation Commission
Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m. at The Millhouse at Philip S. Miller Park, 1381 W. Plum Creek Parkway.
Planning Commission
Preference is given for geographic representations, if possible, and interest in planning and related support fields. Meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Public Art Commission
Meets the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. at the Central Service Center, 1400 Caprice Drive.
Public Safety Commission
Preference is given to result in membership reflecting Town Council districts, if possible. Meets the first Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Municipal Courtroom, 100 N. Perry Street.
Public Works Commission
Preference is given to result in membership reflecting Town Council districts, if possible. Meets the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Public Works Service Center, 4175 N. Castleton Court.
