Don't worry... we've got lots to do to keep your summer fun going

There is plenty of fun and activities happening in Castle Rock even though the kids are back in school. We have one more First Friday concert and 5K run to look forward to, one more Tunes for Trails / Perks for Parks free concert, and two more Summer Concert Series performances. In addition, below are updates on upcoming registration deadlines for two of our fall youth sports, our modified pool hour schedule, and an update on our annual Recreation Center maintenance closure. Enjoy the final days of summer and stay up to date at CRgov.com/events

Fall sports registration deadlines are near!

Our Youth Coed Volleyball League is for 3rd through 6th grades and will continue to build the foundational skills required for success while having fun. 
 
Our Youth Flag Football is for students in 1st through 7th grades and will teach the basics of football in this non-contact sport.

Our fall season 
runs from Aug. 26 through Nov. 2. Don't delay registration ends on Aug. 11. For more information and registration click here.

Pardon our dust

The Castle Rock Community Recreation Center will be closed from Aug. 12 to Aug. 16 for its annual week of maintenance. During this closure only, the Miller Activity Complex will be honoring all Recreation Center passes and punch cards. Our Fitness Department has also put together a schedule of group fitness classes at the MAC and Philip S. Miller Park for that week. While the Recreation Center is closed for maintenance, Butterfield Pool will be open daily from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.

During the closure we will be:

  • Painting the cardio area and fitness studios
  • Installing new lighting in the fitness studio
  • Painting and installing new flooring / lighting in the cycling studio
  • Installing new flooring in the Selectorized (circuit) fitness area
  • Installing new flooring in the Panorama Hall
  • Deep cleaning all equipment and facility flooring
  • Performing maintenance and upkeep in pool areas, including acid wash of lap pool and painting the leisure pool play structure

Coming later in 2019, notices will be posted throughout the facility for:

  • Refurbishing wood floors including the painting of new lines
  • New cardio equipment
  • New cycling studio bikes

Modified Pool Hours

With kids and some of our staff going back to school we will be moving to a modified pool hour schedule starting Wednesday, Aug., 7 through Labor Day.

  • Burgess Pool will be open: Monday-Friday 4 p.m.-7 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Butterfield Pool will be open: weekends only 9 a.m.-6 p.m.*.
*The week of Aug. 12-16 while the Recreation Center is closed for maintenance,   Butterfield Pool will be open daily from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
