Free! Weekly Hikes

Free Weekly Hikes 


Join us from 10 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday for a late morning hike that’s geared toward introducing you to the majestic tranquility of our local open spaces, trails and parks in a fun and friendly environment. Each hike features a new location. No registration or fee is required, and meet up locations vary. Feel free to bring a lunch for a picnic after the trail hike, and enjoy some time in the great outdoors.

New! Cornhole League

New Cornhole League


Grab your friends and hit Festival Park to play some cornhole! We will be hosting a spring and summer league at Festival Park, Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Weekly prizes will be given away to winning teams, and registered players have a chance to win their own cornhole set at the end of the season.

Climb4Change


Make a difference and Climb4Change! Proceeds from this annual event benefit Castle Rock's adaptive recreation program for youth and adults with disabilities. This year's race will be held Saturday, May 12 at the Challenge Hill at Philip S. Miller Park.

Tri the Rock


It's waiting for you. All you have to do is try! This year's annual triathlon for youth ages 5 through 14 will be held Sunday, May 20. Distances vary and depend on age. The race will begin at 8 a.m. at Butterfield Crossing Park and Pool.

New this year are the Tri the Rock training camps, and returning is the ever-so-popular First Timer Clinic, a great introduction for new athletes.

Castle Rock Half Marathon


Castle Rock's small-town charm, abundant outdoors, and beautiful parks, trails and open space, make our Town a great place to run. The Castle Rock Half Marathon is back for 2018! Start and end your half marathon, 5-mile or Rock Challenge Race at the re-imagined Festival Park. This year's event will be Saturday, June 23.
