Learn about next steps for the Town’s animal ordinance review
As a home rule municipality, the Town of Castle Rock has its own set of local laws and codes. From time to time, those local laws need to be updated. Thank you for being part of that process as we review our Town Code related to animals.
You are receiving this email because you either attended our open house on Tuesday, April 11, and provided an email address, or you provided feedback to the Town.
During that open house, more than 100 people provided feedback. We’ve also received more than 200 comments online. Thank you for taking the time to provide your thoughts!
There is still time to provide feedback online. If you’ve already submitted a form, please know we have your thoughts, and we’re reading them carefully.
If you have new ideas, or something you forgot to mention, please feel free to submit it. Visit CRgov.com/animals to fill out our online form. It will be live until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3.
Getting your feedback was the first step in our review of Town Code related to animals. We are now reading your thoughts and considering your proposed changes (as well as the provisions you wish to remain unchanged).
Your feedback, along with current research, will guide staff recommendations, which will be presented to Town Council for consideration.
At this time, we anticipate a presentation to Council during its May 16 meeting. We will send an email when we know this topic will be on Town Council’s agenda. We will also update CRgov.com/animals. Or, check CRgov.com/agendas for the current Town Council schedule and agenda.
Thank you again for your feedback!
