Winter Break Camps

 
With winter break around the corner, now is the perfect time to register children for camp. Parks and Recreation is offering a variety of camps full of play, imagination and fun.
 
The following programs are open for registration:
 
Rock Rec Camp: Designed to keep elementary-aged children busy from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., campers will enjoy field trips, games, sports and crafts, with a day at the pool. Rock Rec Camp runs Dec. 23, 26 and 27 and Dec. 30, Jan. 1, 2 and 3, to accommodate holidays. The fee is $118 for residents and $168 for nonresidents.
 
Inspire to Learn and Imagine STEMplicity Camps: These science and engineering specialty camps are for ages 5-12. Gadgets and Gizmos will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 2 and 3. Campers will become inventors and work together to build LEGO gadgets, such as an alarm clock and marshmallow shooter.
 
The fee is $120 for residents and $140 for nonresidents. A half-day option is also available, ending at noon for a reduced price of $80 for residents and $100 for nonresidents.
 
Dungeons and Dragons Camp: This interactive gaming camp is a great way to grow social and leadership skills for ages 11-17. It runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30-Jan. 3. The fee is $175 for residents and $185 for nonresidents. The cost includes materials for a take-home craft and a T-shirt.
