[ARCHIVED] All-vocal band Face rocks Castle Rock for free concert Sept. 17; registration opens Sept. 14

Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks - Face Vocal Band

The season may be coming to a close, but the Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series has one more opportunity for residents to savor the sounds of summer. Face Vocal Band takes the stage Thursday, Sept. 17. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14.

Established in Boulder, Face Vocal Band has spent more than a decade using complex harmonies and beat-box rhythms to reinvent modern popular tunes. Known for competing in the NBC series “The Sing-Off,” the acapella group regularly performs for packed audiences in Colorado and around the world.

Join the fun from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please note, there will be some changes this year to abide by State heath guidelines and accommodate social distancing.

Based on current State health orders, a limited number of people will be allowed in the Amphitheater at one time. While this is a free concert, attendees must preregister. Concert goers can choose between the orchestra area or lawn seating during registration. A maximum of 220 people will be allowed in the orchestra area, and 250 people will be allowed in the lawn area. Walk ups will not be permitted. Additionally, attendees are asked to wear face coverings during the check in process and while walking around the event.

Registration will be available at CRgov.com/TrailTunes. Questions about registration? Contact the Recreation Center Front Desk at 303-660-1036.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Pack a picnic and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Please note, food and beverages will not be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks; however, glass is not allowed. It is important to note this will be a scaled back event. The traditional bouncy houses and yard games will not be available.
