Tune in to support trails this summer; free concerts and family fun at PSM Park

Great music, delicious food and drinks, family-friendly fun – what more do you need for a perfect night in Castle Rock? Participate in seasonal fun, and help a great cause, at the Town’s Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series. The series kicks off Thursday, June 21, with FACE.

Donate, dance and dine this summer with the free concert series at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. These concerts will feature Colorado bands and will be great for the entire family. Donations, a percentage of proceeds from liquor sales, and proceeds from souvenir cups purchased at the concert will benefit the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation.

The foundation is an organization independent from the Town that works to enhance Castle Rock’s parks, trails and recreational spaces. Donations from the Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks concert series will go to designated projects like trail signage at Philip S. Miller Park. More information is at

The concerts run from 6:30-8:45 p.m. Open seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. So, come early and enjoy yard games, bouncy houses and fun for the entire family. Please note, the final concert in the series, 6 Million Dollar Band, will be part of the Castle Rock Trails Festival. That concert will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

The Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks concert series lineup:

• FACE – Thursday, June 21
FACE is an internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder, Colorado who have been captivating audiences for over a decade with their infectious energy punctuated by an endearing love of performance. “Blending modern popular tunes with complex harmonies, brilliant beat-box rhythms and superb singing, FACE takes their audience on a musical journey and it’s fantastic fun.” (

• That Eighties Band – Thursday, July 19
Denver is home to That Eighties Band, one of the most popular 80's tribute bands in America. The group has performed at over 1,200 concerts, corporate events, and weddings. Past clients include Google, Disney, Pepsi, The Denver Broncos and many more. CBS named them the top cover band in Denver.

• Spinphony – Thursday, Aug. 9
Spinphony fuses Classical, Rock, and Pop favorites into unique and catchy mash ups. The crossover string group also writes their own originals in a style they call "Pop Baroque". While sticking to their classical roots by performing virtuosic classics like Vivaldi summer and Beethoven string quartets, Spinphony creates a fresh new take on the classics by mashing them up with rock and pop favorites such as Kashmir and Smooth Criminal and adding high energy orchestrated backing tracks from the DJ. They perform more in the style of a rock band than a traditional string quartet with choreographed dance moves and interaction with the audience.

• HomeSlice – Thursday, Aug. 16
HomeSlice is a high energy nine-piece cover band with an energized horn section and powerful vocals. The band has the experience, talent, professionalism, and personable nature that has clients recommending their friends and families to also experience HomeSlice. HomeSlice has it all, from funk to soul, jazz to rock, jump swing to ballads, old school to modern hits for all ages. HomeSlice gets the party started!

• 6 Million Dollar Band – Saturday, Oct. 6; 11a.m.-1 p.m.
6 Million Dollar Band (6MDB to their fans) delivers high energy 80s dance hits exactly as the original artists with the correct sounds and musical style that made the decade unique. Nailing the sound of artists like Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Talking Heads and Duran Duran is no simple feat, and no one does it better than 6 Million Dollar Band.

Food trucks and beverage sales will be available. Or, pack a picnic for the entire family. Please keep in mind outside alcoholic beverages will not be permitted.
