Man airlifted after paragliding accident

A man was flown to a trauma center after a paragliding accident in Castle Rock today.

Castle Rock Fire and Rescue responded to the accident at 1:25 p.m. The man, who was flying the paraglider alone, has not been identified.

He was found unconscious on the ground near Castle Rock Middle School, 2575 Meadows Blvd. He was airlifted in serious conditions with multiple fractures. Castle Rock Police are investigating the crash, and at this time, suspect the man got caught in a down-draft.
