Scare up Halloween fun at Trick or Treat Street Oct. 31

event graphic

Halloween doesn’t have to be about frights and fears. In Castle Rock, it’s about community, and you’re invited to join us for the annual Trick or Treat Street event.

Trick or Treat Street is for anyone seeking Halloween fun. Held in cooperation with the Downtown Alliance, this tradition features a costume contest, arts and crafts, pony rides, balloon artists, a barrel train, face painting and, of course, trick-or-treating. All activities are free thanks to support from Town of Castle Rock and Downtown businesses.

The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. Trick-or-treating is at participating Downtown businesses. The main events are throughout Downtown. Here’s your guide:

Festival Park, Second and Perry streets
• Pony rides
• Vendors
• Bouncy houses
• Barrel train
• Pumpkin patch

The White Pavilion, Fifth and Perry streets
• Annual costume contest (read on for the contest schedule)

Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Headquarters, 300 Perry St.
• Arts and Crafts

Courtyard on Perry Street
• Story time
• Face painting
• Balloon artists

For the safety of all involved, Perry Street will be closed Downtown between Fifth and South streets. The Town Trolley will be in service taking trick-or-treaters to various stops around Downtown.

Parking will be available at Douglas County Fairgrounds. The trolley will be transporting event-goers from the Fairgrounds parking lot to Downtown. Please keep in mind event parking will not be available in the parking lots at the Douglas County Wilcox Building. The lots are being reserved for those with end-of-the month business at Douglas County. Also, please be mindful of Downtown businesses and residents when parking. Do not park in the residential area east of the railroad tracks.

Since parking is always an important topic at events, additional parking is being secured and more information will follow. Stay up-to-date at Or, follow the Town on social media (@CRgov and for additional updates, parking maps and event information.
