Tune in to support trails this summer; free concerts scheduled at PSM Park

Great music, delicious food and drinks, family-friendly fun – what more do you need for a perfect night in Castle Rock? Participate in all the seasonal fun, and help a great cause, at the Town’s new Tunes for Trails / Perks for Parks free concert series.

Donate, dance and dine on select Thursdays this summer with a free concert series at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. These concerts will feature Colorado bands and will be great for the entire family.

At the concert, donations will be accepted for the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation. The Foundation is an organization independent from the Town that works to enhance Castle Rock’s parks, trails and recreational spaces.

The Tunes for Trails / Perks for Parks concert series includes:

• 6 Million Dollar Band – Thursday, July 7

6 Million Dollar Band (6MDB to their fans) delivers high energy 80s dance hits exactly as the original artists with the correct sounds and musical style that made the decade unique. Nailing the sound of artists like Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Talking Heads and Duran Duran is no simple feat, and no one does it better than 6 Million Dollar Band.

The members of 6MDB bring well-seasoned skills, each having played professionally for nearly two decades. Impeccable drumming, blazing guitar solos, four-part vocal harmonies, and a genuine enthusiasm for the music compliment the already unbeatable sound the band delivers.

• Deja Blu Band – Thursday, July 21

Deja Blu was formed in 2001 and quickly established a reputation as one of the best dance bands in Colorado. Known for their high energy shows and playing your favorite dance party music covering five decades, the music is a dance-able mix of the very best of classic rock, top 40, motown, soul, country, swing, jazz and blues.

The band is comprised of A-list musicians who love to entertain the audience and have fun on stage. With fiery lead guitar solos, a solid rhythm section and searing sax solos - the musicians are some of the best in the state. Add to this recipe 5 vocalists with harmonies that are especially tight and powerful – you get one of the best dance bands in Colorado.

• Vehicle – Thursday, Aug. 18

Vehicle, billed as a variety band, plays: today's top hits, acoustic, jazz, country, classic rock, 20’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. They have roughly 45 years of experience between them.

• FACE – Thursday, Sept. 8

FACE is an internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder, Colorado who have been captivating audiences for over a decade with their infectious energy punctuated by an endearing love of performance. “Blending modern popular tunes with complex harmonies, brilliant beat-box rhythms and superb singing, FACE takes their audience on a musical journey and it’s fantastic fun.” (

Performing over 100 shows per year around the world, the band has also competed on the hit NBC series “The Sing-Off,” headlined at Edinburgh, Scotland’s prestigious Festival Fringe, and has opened for legendary performers such as Jon Bon Jovi, Jay Leno, Manhattan Transfer, Culture Club & Boy George, Rick Springfield, and Robin Thicke.

Food trucks and beverage sales will be available. Or, pack a picnic for the entire family. More information is available at
