Tree of Wings Public Art Dedication Event

Thursday, October 8, 2020

Join the Town of Castle Rock Public Art Commission in celebrating local community character and the arts! A formal dedication event will be held to recognize Tree of Wings, the Town's newest permanent sculpture, during National Arts and Humanities Month at Philip S. Miller Park.

Tree of Wings was commissioned by the Public Art Commission in 2019. Created by local artists Mary Williams and John King, this vibrant kinetic sculpture pays homage to the active nature of the park and inspires locals and visitors alike. Artists Williams and King have more than 30 years of combined experience in public art, and the Public Art Commission is thrilled to formally honor their work through this dedication.

The mission of the Town of Castle Rock Public Art Commission is to bring distinctive public art to Castle Rock and to serve as the stewards of the public art program. More information is available at CRgov.com/publicart
