Notice is hereby given that an application has been made for a Site Development Plan for Lot 6A, Castle Plaza South Fifth Amendment, Town of Castle Rock, County of Douglas, State of Colorado (also known as 220 S. Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, Colorado). The application proposes to build a new United States Postal Service retail facility.

The applicant held their first neighborhood meeting on Nov. 19, 2019, and a second neighborhood meeting on July 23, 2020. Due to low attendance at the second meeting, the applicant was not required to hold a third neighborhood meeting. However, public comments are encouraged. Please see the bulleted options later in this notice on ways to provide public comments. The applicant is proposing a new, retail-only post office on the vacant lot adjacent to the Wells Fargo Bank, Dairy Queen, and ENT Credit Union in downtown Castle Rock. The proposed building would measure approximately 5,380 square feet and would include on-site parking.

Pursuant to Resolutions 2020-044 and 2020-045 as approved by Town Council, a virtual public hearing on said application will be held before the Design Review Board at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020. Due to State health orders, the hearing will be held remotely with no in-person attendance. If you would like to participate in the virtual public hearing, please see one of the options below:
