Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks Free Concert Series: The Long Run

Thursday, August 20, 2020

Bring the entire family out to enjoy the summer air at The Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. Food or drinks will not be available for purchase, so bring a picnic basket to enjoy the show. Although the event is free, donations are appreciated benefiting the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation which is dedicated to enhancing the recreational experiences available in Castle Rock. Learn more about the foundation at getoutdoorscastlerock.org.

August's concert features The Long Run. A group of professional Colorado-based musicians dedicated to the faithful reproduction of The Eagles, one of America’s most iconic bands.  Picture of the Long Run Band

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please note, there will be some changes this year to abide by heath guidelines and accommodate social distancing.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Pack a picnic and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Please note, food and alcohol will not be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks, however, glass is not allowed.

It is important to note this will be a scaled back event. The traditional bouncy houses and yard games will not be available. Additionally, attendees are asked to wear face coverings during the check in process and while walking around the event. Based on current State health orders, only a limited number of people will be allowed in the Amphitheater at one time. While this is a free concert, attendees must preregister. Concert goers can choose between the Orchestra area or lawn seating during registration. A maximum of 220 people will be allowed in the Orchestra area, and 250 people will be allowed in the lawn area. Walk ups will not be permitted. Registration will open at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at CRgov.com/Registration. Questions about registration? Contact the Recreation Center Front Desk at 303-660-1036.  For the full Tunes for Trails, Perks or Parks concert lineup and more information, visit CRgov.com/TrailTunes.
