Did you know Castle Rock is home to a wide variety of wildlife, such as bears, mountain lions, porcupines, skunks and turkeys? Get the chance to learn about local wildlife at this popular annual public education program.

Lions and turkeys and bears, oh my!

What attracts coyotes to your neighborhood? Are there beavers here? Have you ever seen or touched a mountain lion or black bear? What about a porcupine? Did you know there are wild turkeys in Castle Rock?

Get the chance to learn about local wildlife at this free annual public education program. Natural resource staff and law enforcement representatives from the Town, Douglas County Open Space and Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be available to provide interesting wildlife facts and answer questions about:
  • Bears
  • Beavers
  • Bobcats
  • Coyotes
  • Deer
  • Mountain Lions
  • Prairie Dogs
  • Rattlesnakes
  • And more!
Tips will include how to avoid human-wildlife conflicts and how to watch wildlife in a responsible manner. Real wildlife displays will be on hand. No registration is required.
