    National Night Out was created to help foster positive relationships between police departments and the residents they serve. Traditionally, this nationwide event consists of neighborhoods hosting officers. In Castle Rock, we want to throw the party and showcase what makes Castle Rock Police Department unique! Those in attendance will have a chance to interact with the various divisions and specialized units at CRPD, participate in a number of hands-on activities and watch demonstrations put on by members of our team.     Ridgeline Wranglers is a volunteer trail maintenance group that meets once a month to help maintain and improve the trails at Ridgeline Open Space. We meet at the trailhead parking lot off of Coachline Road at 8:30 a.m. A Waiver is required for all participants. Related participants can be listed on the same waiver form. Gloves, tools and water are provided. Youth under the age of 14 require an adult over 21 to supervise.

Kids will have the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat and explore police cars, firetrucks, helicopters and much more!   26. Castle Rock Summer Jam ft. Sublime with Rome - SOLD OUT

    In 2017, Castle Rock Summer Jam was started by local Castle Rock musicians, Bill Clarke and John Saunders. They were looking to provide an event that allowed the community to enjoy an all-day music festival close to home, complete with local food and beer vendors, all while making a positive impact in the community. Each year Summer Jam proceeds support an organization in the local community. In previous years they have been able to support the Douglas Elbert County Task Force (now named Hope & Help Center) and the Foundation for Douglas County Schools. Summer Jam has also been able to award numerous scholarships to local high school students who participate in music programs. In 2019, 18 students received scholarships.
