Public Works recently conducted a review of the streets in the Carriage Hills neighborhood. The intent of the review was to ensure that the street width provides emergency vehicles enough room to access residents in need. The review indicated that many of the neighborhood streets in the Carriage Hills Neighborhood are 28’. In the interest of public safety, when streets are less than 32’ wide and greater than 26’ wide the Town emergency services require a dedicated fire lane where on-street parking is limited to just one side of the street.
Signs currently exist that establish these no parking zones. In order to minimize confusion as to each zone’s limits, we are adding new signs and adjusting the location of others.
