Season of the Star
Celebrate the warmth of our community at the Town's Season of the Star event series. Join your friends, family and neighbors as the Town, the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Alliance help the community get into the spirit of the season.
The Season of the Star events will be held Downtown and at Festival Park each Saturday starting with Starlighting on Nov. 19 and closing with the Castle Rockin' New Year's Eve on Dec. 31.
Admission to all Season of the Star events is free. No tickets nor RSVP is necessary, so join us!

The Town is currently seeking volunteers, vendors, sponsors and performers who want to be involved. Contact the Special Events Division by email for more information.

The Elf House Experience
Downtown Castle Rock will host an exhibit featuring "Selfies with Santa," and "The Elves Dressing Room." Bring the family and a camera. Take a selfie with Santa, or dress up like an Elf. Have a letter for Santa? Bring it to our mailbox. Spectacular holiday lights Downtown will only add to the cheer and photo opportunities.
Kris Kringle Market
We know your gift giving list is long. The Kris Kringle Market will feature fresh wreaths, jewelry, home décor and more from local Castle Rock artists and vendors!
Carriage Rides Enjoy a 15-minute carriage ride through charming Downtown Castle Rock.
North Pole Welcome Center
There's a lot going on during our Season of the Star, and we know you might have questions. Visit our information booth at Festival Park each Saturday through January 2. Also, pick up your passport for our 12 Stops of Christmas event.

12 Stops of Christmas
Nov. 26, 2-5 p.m. Festival Park
Castle Rock is a generous community, so we know your giving list is long. Take care of everyone with the 12 Stops of Christmas. Visit each participating business on the shopping passport's route between Nov. 26 and Dec. 31 to gather stamps and enter to win a prize package. Pick up your passport from the North Pole Welcome Center in Festival Park on November 26 from 2-5 p.m. A minimum $5 purchase from each participating Downtown business or restaurant gets you a stamp on your passport. Collect all 12 stamps and turn the passport back into the welcome center to be entered to win a grand prize package worth more than $300.
Dec. 3, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Festival Park
Kick off the new year at WinterFest - a celebration of the winter season. Activities include:
- Ice carving
- The Cold War Classic Cyclocross Race (Register for the Cold War Classic Cyclocross Race)
- WinterFest 5K (Register for the WinterFest 5K)
- Bye Bye Bonfire
- Starlight lounge
- Food for purchase
Storytellers & S'mores
Dec. 10, 2-5 p.m., Festival Park
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season with an afternoon around a campfire listening to stories and making S'mores. Bring a lawn chair, or blanket, and make sure to dress for the weather. This event also includes vendors, food, and carriage rides.
The Castle Rock Winter Express
Dec. 17, 2-5 p.m., Festival Park
It's the traditional story, Castle Rock style. Enjoy a short train rides around Festival Park. The park will be transformed into a North Pole celebration with Santa. The event will also include food, vendors and carriage rides.
Christmas Eve Candlelight servicesDec. 24, 4-5 p.m., Festival Park
Join us in Festival Park as several churches play host to a series of candlelight services on Christmas Eve.
Castle Rockin' New Year's Eve
Dec. 31, 5-8 p.m., Festival Park
Come out and celebrate the new year with us! Festival Park will be transformed with a spectacular light and sound show. Spend the day in Downtown Castle Rock. Then, beginning at 5 p.m., every hour on the hour, until 8 p.m. we will feature a dazzling multimedia show for all to enjoy.
